ADDITIONAL RULES
FLANK MARCHES (experimental)
version 0.2.1
1) A player can send in a Flank March one or more Commands. A Command on Flank Marches cannot be lead by Incompetent or Coward Generals or by CiC. No more than the 50% of the army (see VDs) can be sent on a FM.
2) The FM must be noted on the map before deployment. The note must indicate the Command and the side (left or right).
3) At the end of every turn the Player that has sent a Command on a FM rolls 2d6 adding the leadership bonus of the General on FM. With a result of 12+ the FM enters the table at the start of the next turn.
Add to the roll a +1 cumulative modifier (+1, +2, +3...) after the first turn.
In case of double 1 or double 6 the General on FM will change his level. If the General is Poor, thus becomes Incompetent, the March as been aborted and all his troops are considered lost to Victory Conditions.
If a double 1 is rolled by a General of better level than the Poor, then the cumulative modifier is reset (so bonus will be 0 the following turn, then 1 etc). The double 1 also downgrades the general's level.
4) If the FM is successfull, then the Units belonging to the entering Command are placed at the Player's choice within 12U from the side edge.
These Units must be placed at more than 5U to any enemy Units (measure from the closest points).
Units that have no room are not deployed and are considered eliminated for Victory Condotions.
5) After the deployment of the Flank Marching Command, the opponent can make a wheel up to 90° OR perform an about face (without Disorder)
with any of his Unit that is closer than 15U from the enemy. He cannot anyway get closer than 5U to any enemy Unit.
6) In case 2 opponent Commands enter in the same turn and from the same side edge, then Players deploy, one by one, their Units starting from the Player that rolled more (after the modifiers). In case they rolled the same then see the better Command Structure or roll again if it is the same. Distances (12U and 5U) must be respected also in this case.
7) Roll for initiative as usual...
